Eternal Subtlety

So life is set
in short scenarios,
opening and closing
doors of perception,

to hellos and good-byes,
laughs and cries,
guffaws and sighs,
my-oh-mize of little white lies,

up unto the final surprise,

but can we see
through this mortal disguise
to the hidden prize
of reality,

past this world
with Christ-sized eyes,
to view the subtlety
of Love's eternity.
